Snagit 2020 MacOS 10.14 Crashes on Launch: A Frustrating Experience

As a long-time user of Logitech products, I've grown accustomed to their reliability and ease of use. However, recently, I've been experiencing a frustrating issue with the Snagit 2020 software on my Mac running MacOS 10.14. The problem is that the software crashes every time I try to launch it.

I've tried using different Logitech products, including the MX Master 2s and M535 mouse, as well as the K380 keyboard, but the issue persists. I'm not sure if this has something to do with power saving or another feature, but I'm willing to explore any possible solutions to resolve this problem.

One peculiar thing I've noticed is that the issue often occurs when I lock my Mac and come back to it after about 15 minutes. This suggests that there might be a correlation between the software's stability and the system's sleep mode. My MacBook Pro 2019, with an i7 6-core processor, 16GB of RAM, and Radeon 555X graphics card, is a relatively powerful machine, so I'm not sure why this issue persists.

The Logitech Options tool, which usually allows me to customize my mouse settings, also crashes regularly. In fact, after waiting for some time, the tool may suddenly start working again, but only partially. For example, my custom buttons on the mouse may start working, but with a delay of 30-60 minutes.

If I choose not to restart my system and wait instead, the Logitech Options tool may open after some time, allowing me to configure my mouse settings. However, if I restart my system at this point, the software usually starts working again most of the time. This workaround is inconvenient and frustrating, as it requires me to restart my system multiple times a day.

I'm eager to find a solution to this issue, especially since it's currently holding me back from purchasing the Logitech Craft keyboard. I'm happy to provide any logfiles or additional information that may help diagnose the problem. In the meantime, I'll continue to use my M535 mouse and K380 keyboard when traveling for work, but I hope that a solution can be found soon.

Update: After waiting for some time, I noticed that my custom buttons on the mouse stop working altogether after 2-3 hours of use. This is becoming increasingly frustrating, as it's affecting my productivity and overall user experience.

I'm hopeful that Logitech will address this issue in a future update or provide a solution to help me resolve this problem. Until then, I'll continue to search for workarounds and provide any additional information that may be necessary to diagnose and fix the issue.
